The children at The Limes enjoyed spending time outdoors during a recent visit from Claudia. Together, they have been busy planting garlic in the nursery allotment and learning about how food grows.

As the children carefully planted the garlic cloves, they talked about what plants need to grow and discussed how the allotment changes throughout the seasons. Digging, planting and caring for the soil helped to develop their physical skills, while working together encouraged conversation, cooperation and curiosity about the natural world.

The children are looking forward to watching the garlic grow over the coming months and continuing to care for the allotment with Claudia.
