It has been a lovely start to the new term at Rosemary Nursery School. This week, we were delighted to welcome back our returning children and families, and we also enjoyed hosting Stay and Play sessions for the children who will be joining us from next week.
The sessions provided a wonderful opportunity for children to explore their new environment, begin building relationships and gain confidence in the nursery setting. We look forward to welcoming them into nursery life and supporting them as they settle into their new routines.
We were also pleased to discover that our allotment has flourished over the summer holidays. Thanks to the care and dedication of our caretaker, John, who has been carefully watering the plants throughout the break, the fruit and vegetables have thrived in the recent sunshine.
Over the coming weeks, the children will have the exciting opportunity to harvest the produce they planted from seed earlier in the year. As they pick, explore and taste what they have grown, they will be developing an understanding of the natural world and learning about where food comes from through first-hand experiences.
