Class 1 at Rosemary Nursery School has been in the business of keeping cool these last couple of weeks, and water play has featured heavily in the fun!
Alongside all the splashing, the children have started a brilliant new core book this week, Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. The children have been practising being the different characters from the story, thinking carefully about how each one feels at different points in the tale. This kind of imaginative role play is fantastic for developing empathy, language and a deeper understanding of the story.
