Children from Orange Room and Yellow Room at St Werburgh’s Park Nursery School will soon be taking part in a special theatre experience with The Travelling Light Theatre Company.
On Tuesday the 13th of October, the children will head through the internal gate connecting the nursery and St Werburgh’s Primary School, where they will spend around 90 minutes in the Primary School hall, enjoying a mixture of play and performance as part of Wonder Baby. The session is designed to be interactive, giving children the chance to explore movement, relationships, feelings and physical play alongside the theatre team.
Wonder Baby takes inspiration from the experiences and imaginations of babies, toddlers and their families. Through movement and clowning, the performance encourages children to express themselves, build confidence and connect with others through shared play experiences.
Taking part in creative activities like this supports children’s communication, language and personal development, while giving them opportunities to explore new experiences in a fun and engaging environment. We are looking forward to hearing all about the children’s adventures and seeing how the experience inspires their play back at nursery.
