Orange Room at St Werburgh’s Park Nursery School returned to nursery this week still feeling the effects of the recent heatwave, so plenty of cooling activities were on offer to help everyone stay comfortable! The children enjoyed playing indoors and in the shady parts of the garden, giving them a chance to relax and stay cool.

The children have also continued with their woodwork projects and have been looking after the allotment, which needed plenty of watering after all that hot weather. Their story this week has been The Smartest Giant in Town, and the children have loved listening to the tale, joining in with the rhymes and actions, and getting stuck into some lovely role play.

Next week the children will continue exploring the same story while beginning preparations for the end-of-year Caribbean party. Have a good weekend!
