We hope you all had a wonderful summer break. Over the course of the summer holidays, we have had some exciting garden renovations completed, and we are delighted with the results. We now have a much more useable surface area, and the children have been thoroughly enjoying creating walkways and obstacle courses in this newly transformed space. It has been wonderful to see this area being so well used and becoming such a vibrant part of our outdoor learning environment.

This week, we have been focusing particularly upon helping children make new relationships with one another as they settle back into nursery life. Building these important friendships and connections is such a vital part of their development, and we are pleased to see how well the children are engaging with each other.

In the upcoming weeks, we will slowly start to settle in new children who will be joining The Limes family. We take great care to ensure each child’s transition is as smooth and comfortable as possible.

Tapestry Learning Diaries

Here at The Limes, we record children’s learning using an online learning diary called Tapestry, which allows us to capture and share those special moments of discovery and development. Please keep an eye on your emails, as links to access your children’s Tapestry diary will shortly be sent out to you. The first observation we make on Tapestry will share with you details of who your child’s keyworker will be, along with some information about how they have been settling in during these early days.

Important Reminders

Please ensure children are dressed appropriately for the weather, including welly boots and a raincoat when needed, as we love to make the most of our outdoor spaces regardless of the conditions.

Please remember to label your child’s belongings, including coats, lunchboxes, water bottles, and welly boots, as this helps us ensure everything finds its way back to the right owner.

For safety reasons, please do not provide whole grapes in packed lunch boxes. For children aged five and under, these present a choking hazard and need to be cut in half lengthways before being given to your child.

We look forward to an exciting term ahead and watching your children continue to grow, learn, and thrive at The Limes.
