It has been a lovely week in Class 2 at Rosemary, with lots of imaginative and hands-on learning taking place.

The children have been enjoying Handa’s Surprise, bringing the story to life by acting it out using props during their play. This kind of storytelling play is fantastic for developing language and communication skills, and it is always wonderful to see children take ownership of a story and make it their own.

We have also been exploring our bodies this week, learning the names of different body parts and drawing around each other to create life-sized outlines. It was great fun and a brilliant way to develop children’s awareness of themselves and their own bodies.

The Class 2 Shop has been open for business, too! Role play like this helps children develop their communication, early maths skills and confidence in a really natural and enjoyable way.
