Welcome to The Limes Nursery School
Welcome to The Limes Nursery School, where for over 40 years we have been providing exceptional early years education to families in the Whitehall area of Easton. Conveniently situated next to Whitehall Primary School, we offer a seamless transition pathway for children as they grow and develop.
As a term-time nursery providing 15 or 30-hour places depending on eligibility, we work holistically with children and families, embracing the fundamental belief that all children deserve the very best possible start in life.
Our approach centres on teaching through open-ended play, helping children develop independence, make thoughtful choices, and form meaningful relationships while learning to cooperate and follow nursery routines. Our spacious garden area provides excellent opportunities for outdoor exploration and discovery, supporting our goal of nurturing enthusiastic learners and confident communicators who develop a genuine love of books and stories.
We are proud to serve as a diverse, inclusive nursery that warmly welcomes families from all communities, creating a rich learning environment where every child is valued and supported to reach their full potential.
Partnership with Families
Our partnership with parents is a big part of our work.
You know so much about your child.
Your support and encouragement will make a big difference to their learning.

Child-Centred Learning Through Play
The Limes Nursery School employs a holistic approach to early education that recognises children’s development encompasses social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Through carefully planned open-ended play experiences, children are encouraged to make independent choices, explore their interests, and develop at their own natural pace. This child-centred philosophy nurtures curiosity and builds confidence, creating a strong foundation where children become enthusiastic learners and confident communicators. Families particularly appreciate how our staff demonstrate patience and understanding when children encounter difficulties, reflecting our deep commitment to supporting each child’s individual learning journey with care and respect.

Four Decades of Inclusive Excellence
For over 40 years, The Limes has proudly served as a diverse, inclusive nursery working cooperatively with families from all communities in the Whitehall area. This long-standing commitment to inclusion has created a rich and varied learning environment where children encounter diverse perspectives, languages, and cultures from an early age. We value this diversity as one of our greatest strengths, using it to enhance children’s understanding of the world and their place within it. Parents consistently praise our professional, friendly staff who create a genuinely welcoming atmosphere where every child and family feels valued and respected, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Collaborative Family Community
The Limes Nursery School places significant emphasis on building meaningful partnerships with parents, recognising them as children’s first and most important educators. We understand that parents know their children best, and their support and encouragement make a substantial difference to learning outcomes. This collaborative approach ensures continuity between home and nursery experiences, strengthening children’s sense of security and enhancing their overall development. Our wonderful, caring staff work closely with families to understand each child’s unique needs and interests, creating a supportive community that extends beyond the nursery walls and helps every child develop a genuine love of learning that will serve them throughout their educational journey.
