Class 1 has had a lovely week settling into new routines and becoming familiar with the rhythm of the nursery day.
One of our exciting new routines is bread making, which will take place during group times on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons. Children will take part on a rota, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the experience. This week, Green Group had a brilliant time exploring the ingredients, talking about what they could see and feel, and watching how the mixture changed when water was added. The children showed great curiosity as they mixed the ingredients together and were incredibly proud to take their freshly baked bread home to share with their families.
We have also introduced toothbrushing sessions during group times on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings. Alongside brushing teeth at home, these sessions help children develop healthy habits and understand the importance of personal hygiene and looking after their teeth.
Outdoors, children have been enjoying painting with water on the chalkboard. They used all their strength to reach up high and create big marks, developing their physical skills while exploring different ways to make patterns and shapes.
It has been wonderful to see children growing in confidence as they settle into these new routines and experiences.
