Class 2 at Rosemary Nursery School has enjoyed a wonderfully colourful time exploring all the colours of the rainbow.
Throughout the week, the children experimented with paint, mixing different colours together to discover the new shades they could create. They talked about their favourite colours, shared their ideas with friends, and developed their curiosity as they explored what happened when colours were combined. These hands-on experiences supported their creativity, communication and early understanding of the world around them.
The children also spent time looking closely at rainbows before working together on a special class art project. Everyone contributed by colouring, cutting and sticking, helping to create a giant rainbow display for the classroom. It was lovely to see the children working as a team, sharing resources and encouraging one another as they brought their masterpiece to life.
To continue the theme, the class sang ‘I Can See a Rainbow’ during group times, helping children to practise naming different colours while building confidence through singing together. It has been a fun and creative week, and the children are incredibly proud of their finished rainbow.
