In May’s newsletter from Rosemary Nursery School, you can read about a busy and productive Term 5, with the children enjoying a rich range of activities despite it being a shorter term than usual. Highlights include the weekly Learn and Play sessions run every Tuesday morning in partnership with the Family Hub and Jane, which are open to everyone, and the weekly visits from Laura from the Travelling Light Theatre Company, where the children have been exploring music and movement in both small and large groups to support their language development. Kelly from The Children’s Kitchen has also been visiting weekly, helping the children to plant vegetables and herbs in the allotment, and the whole nursery has been watching caterpillars closely across all classes, eagerly awaiting the moment they transform into butterflies. The newsletter also includes details of the end-of-year Stay and Play event in Term 6, a parent governor vacancy, and some helpful tips from the Hanen Centre on turning book reading into a conversation at home.
