This week, children in Green Room and Green 2 Room at The Limes Nursery School have been taking part in a hands‑on planting activity with Claudia from Children’s Kitchen. The children planted broad beans, beginning by preparing and planting their seeds and then moving them into the ground once they had grown into shoots.

Throughout the activity, the children showed strong motivation to learn and explore the concepts of growth and change over time. Experiences like these support key areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), particularly Understanding the World, where children develop awareness of nature, lifecycles and the world around them.
