We have been exploring colour mixing using pipettes and coloured water, discovering how primary colours combine to create new shades. This activity has also been developing our fine motor skills through the precise squeezing and control needed to use the pipettes effectively.
The children have been learning how to care for babies by washing, drying, and dressing them by ourselves, developing nurturing skills and independence whilst building empathy and understanding of what babies need. This role play supports personal and social development as children practise caring for others.
We have been investigating the properties of clay by adding water to it, observing how the material transforms and changes consistency whilst developing scientific thinking through hands-on experimentation. The children have been taking part in different races in the garden, with some of us also drawing our start and finish lines on the floor, combining physical activity with mark-making and understanding of spatial concepts.
