This week, Rainbow Room at St Werburgh’s Park Nursery School has been busy welcoming some of our new children during their settling-in visits. It has been wonderful to see the children exploring all the different areas of the room and beginning to grow in confidence as they become familiar with their new environment.
The water play area and the bikes in the outdoor space have been particularly popular, offering plenty of opportunities for children to investigate, experiment and develop their physical skills. Indoors, the children have enjoyed mark making at the craft table and expressing their creativity through painting, helping to build fine motor skills and confidence in communicating their ideas.
There has also been lots of imaginative and exploratory play with the babies, building blocks, cars and trains. These experiences support children’s communication, social development and problem-solving as they learn alongside one another.
It has been lovely to see our 2s becoming more comfortable and happy in Rainbow Room. We are so proud of how well they are settling in and look forward to seeing their confidence continue to grow. Well done, everyone!
