Green and Red Class at The Limes enjoyed a very special visit this morning from PCSO Nick. The children were excited to welcome him into the room and were keen to learn more about his important role in the community.
Nick showed the children his police uniform and talked about what he does in his job each day. The children listened carefully and were fascinated by the different parts of his uniform and how they help him to keep people safe. He also shared his favourite story, which the children thoroughly enjoyed, creating a calm and attentive atmosphere as they listened together.
There were lots of thoughtful questions from the children, showing their growing confidence to speak in a group and their curiosity about the world around them. Opportunities like this help to build understanding of people who help us, while also supporting communication and language development as children listen, respond and share their own ideas.
It was a lovely morning that sparked plenty of discussion and imaginative thinking back in the classroom.
