We cannot believe how quickly this term has flown by, but what a lovely final few weeks it has been in Willow Room at The Limes!
The children have been growing their own cress and then putting it to delicious use by making their own sandwiches — a wonderful way to experience the full journey from planting to eating. Inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the children have also been creating their own insects using junk modelling, which has been a fantastic opportunity to explore shape, texture and creativity.
When the children showed an interest in getting their hands into the paint, we took the tray straight outside and let them go for it, making big, expressive marks with their fingers, hands and paintbrushes in the fresh air. It was messy, joyful and the perfect way to round off a brilliant term!
