We have some very exciting news from the allotment at The Limes Nursery School — our very first vegetables are ready to harvest!

The radishes were the first to be pulled up, and the children were absolutely thrilled to get their hands in the soil and discover those bright red vegetables they had been nurturing and caring for. It is such a special moment when children see the results of their hard work, and it really brings the whole journey from seed to harvest to life in the most meaningful way.

With the support of Children’s Kitchen, the children have been learning to care for their growing patch all term, and it has been wonderful to watch both the vegetables and the children’s curiosity and sense of responsibility grow alongside them. We cannot wait to see which vegetable will be ready to harvest next!
