Children in Rosemary Class 2 have been learning about Easter through a mix of stories, hands-on experiences and shared celebrations. This week, they enjoyed taking part in an Easter Egg Hunt during our Stay and Play on Wednesday, giving children the chance to explore the outdoor space, follow clues and celebrate together with their families.

Our core book, The Big Hungry Bear, has been at the heart of learning. Inspired by the story, children have been chopping strawberries in half and sharing them with their friends, just like the mouse shares food in the book. These activities have supported children’s understanding of the story, encouraged turn-taking and sharing, and helped build important independence skills through safe food preparation.

Through stories, play and real-life experiences, children are developing their language, confidence and social skills, while also strengthening their fine motor control and understanding of the world around them.
