We are so excited to be welcoming Children’s Kitchen to Rosemary Nursery School each week, and the children have already been loving every minute of it!
The Children’s Kitchen team, Kelly, Jo and Claudia, have been coming in to support the children in exploring fresh fruit and vegetables, sniffing, handling and chopping their way through a brilliant range of produce whilst talking about where food actually comes from. These conversations are so valuable, helping children develop a real connection with the food they eat from a really early age.
Excitingly, the team are also going to be helping us get our allotment ready for planting. The children will be able to sow seeds, watch them grow and eventually harvest and eat what they have grown themselves, experiencing the whole food cycle right here at nursery. We cannot wait to see it all come together!
