Willow Room at The Limes has had the most wonderful week celebrating World Book Day, and there has been so much to enjoy!
The children have been making their own books and creating their own stories in the creative area, which has been a brilliant way to develop early literacy skills and unleash some seriously impressive imaginations. In the garden, the children painted a giant cardboard box and transformed it into a cosy reading den, which has already become a very popular spot!
We have also been so lucky to have some special visitors come in to read to the children this week, including Otis’ mummy, which the children absolutely loved. Having familiar faces share stories is such a special experience, and it really does help to nurture a lifelong love of books and reading.
To top it all off, the beautiful weather meant the children enjoyed snack time outside in the garden for the first time since September. A very welcome treat all round!
