Lots of children have shown interest in the moon, space, and weather, sparking curiosity about the world beyond our planet and the natural phenomena we observe. We have learnt about the things that need to happen to make a rainbow, discovering how sunlight and water combine to create this colourful natural display whilst developing understanding of cause and effect.

We have also been exploring numbers on domino cards, matching numbers together and investigating mathematical concepts through hands-on play. The children have been working out totals, discovering that seven groups of six equals 42, developing early multiplication understanding through practical exploration and counting. This concrete experience with numbers helps children understand mathematical relationships and builds foundations for future calculation skills.
