This week the children have continued to be inspired by our core book “Whatever Next” by Jill Murphy, with Baby Bear’s space adventure capturing their imaginations. They have drawn the moon, stars and planets, as well as rockets and astronauts, using different mediums such as chalk and paint for two-dimensional pictures and junk modelling, string, and tape for three-dimensional representations. This exploration across different materials and dimensions helps children understand how the same subject can be represented in various ways whilst developing their artistic techniques and spatial awareness.

It has in turn inspired a display where all their work can be shared and enjoyed by everyone who comes in to the classroom, creating a celebration of their creativity and a sense of pride in their achievements.

We have gone a bit space-mad!
