This week in Green Room we have focused upon large-scale mark making, encouraging gross motor movements and supporting children to ascribe meaning to the marks they make. This approach helps children develop the physical control and understanding that marks can represent ideas, an important foundation for future writing.
We have been enjoying lots of Christmas themed activities, with much enthusiasm for decorating our large Christmas trees in the garden. These festive activities build excitement for the season whilst developing fine motor skills and creative expression through decorating and crafting.
