Last week the children were embracing the start of December with festive activities and storytelling. We have been reading and retelling “The Gingerbread Man,” developing narrative skills and memory through this classic chase story whilst enjoying the repetitive refrains and predictable structure that help children join in with confidence.

The children have been creating winter pictures and decorating our Christmas tree, exploring seasonal themes through art and craft whilst developing fine motor skills through cutting, sticking, and hanging decorations. These festive activities help children understand the changing seasons and cultural celebrations whilst building excitement for the holidays ahead.
