Children at The Rosemary Nursery School have been continuing to explore their interest in block play this week, using a variety of surfaces and materials to support their creativity and problem-solving skills.

Inspired by a growing curiosity about the moon, the children used both large and small blocks to build imaginative rocket structures, demonstrating their developing understanding of space and shape—key aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

In addition to construction play, children engaged in sensory exploration using a range of materials. Through mixing and blending different textures, they were able to experiment freely and enjoy the process of getting messy. These activities support the development of fine motor skills and encourage expressive arts and design, fostering creativity and confidence in early years learning.
