We’ve been further exploring autumn leaves by using them to print with paint, discovering the different shapes and patterns each leaf creates whilst developing mark-making skills and understanding of natural forms.
The children have been making marks in the garden using cars, driving down the guttering with paint to create trails and tracks. This inventive approach to mark-making combines physical play with creative expression whilst exploring how movement creates patterns.
We’ve been getting dressed up in our wet weather clothes and dancing and jumping in the puddles, embracing the rainy weather and experiencing the joy of outdoor play in all conditions! We appreciate if parents can send children in with waterproof trousers, coat, and wellies on wet days, but we are happy to provide spares too so that every child can fully enjoy our outdoor learning whatever the weather.
Please note that nursery is closed next week for half term and will reopen as normal from Monday 3rd November. We hope you all have a lovely break!
