This week, we have gathered autumn leaves from the garden and used them to make beautiful autumnal collages, connecting with the changing season whilst developing creativity and fine motor skills through arranging and sticking natural materials.
The children have been enjoying lots of creative water play in the garden with funnels and tunnels, exploring how water flows and moves whilst experimenting with cause and effect through pouring and watching water travel through different pathways. This hands-on investigation supports scientific thinking and problem-solving skills.
We have also been singing using rainbow scarves with everyone joining in, creating a joyful group experience that builds community and encourages participation. The movement of the scarves adds a visual and tactile element to our music-making whilst supporting physical coordination and rhythm awareness.
