Rosemary Nursery School is delighted to share updates from Class 1 as children engage in their early years learning experiences.
Welcoming Our Learning Community
This week, Class 1 has enjoyed welcoming returning children back to their early years education environment and meeting new friends who have joined their learning community.
Exploring Natural Learning Environments
The children have been delighted by their giant sunflowers in the garden, observing the insects that come to settle on them. This provides wonderful opportunities for children to develop their understanding of nature and the natural world as part of their early years education.
Class 1 has also picked the last of the runner beans and raspberries from their allotment, engaging children in hands-on learning experiences that support their understanding of growing, harvesting, and seasonal changes.
Creative Learning and Development
The children have discovered lots of creative uses for cardboard boxes, demonstrating their imagination and problem-solving skills through open-ended play and learning activities.
Learning Journals
Over the coming weeks, Rosemary Nursery School will be setting families up with Tapestry, an online learning journal where parents can observe their child’s learning and development. Families will need to have completed all relevant documentation before this can be enabled. Please speak to your key person or Magda in the office if you need any support with this process.
We look forward to continuing these exciting early years education experiences with the children in Class 1.
