Our outdoor space at Rosemary Nursery School provides wonderful learning opportunities where children can take part in activities that help them grow socially, physically, and develop their thinking skills. We make the most of our special outdoor area, which Ofsted has described as a “hidden gem,” to create meaningful experiences for all our children.

Construction play is a favourite activity as children work together to build exciting structures using wooden blocks. They create imaginative cars that lead to pretend driving adventures and storytelling. These activities help children develop their understanding of space and shapes, solve problems together, and learn to cooperate with their friends while encouraging their creativity and imagination.

Our climbing frame provides children with physical challenges that help build their confidence, strength, and ability to assess situations for themselves. Our experienced practitioners are always nearby to support the children as they develop their physical skills and learn to navigate challenges safely and independently.

This outdoor environment allows children to discover and explore nature while developing essential skills through play and adventure, all within our nurturing city centre setting.
